Matt Gray, Chairman
Matt Gray is co-founder
and Chairman of Hilgraeve, Inc. Resolving
to launch Hilgraeve in 1980 to develop and market technology-based
products, Gray and his co-founders foresaw the demand for powerful,
easy-to-use communications software. Through the company's early exposure
to microcomputer technology, Gray has used his innovation to help develop
new products for Hilgraeve. After
25 years at the head of Hilgraeve and after closing the largest sale in
the company’s history, Gray stepped down from day-to-day operating
responsibilities but still retains the role of Chairman of the Board.
Throughout his 25 year
tenure at Hilgraeve, Gray has won numerous awards and patents for his work
in creating the most advanced data communications software available. He
has consistently won top industry awards in the general-purpose
communications software category for ease of use, speed and reliability.
Gray's dedication to
making Hilgraeve the premiere data communications software company
available and his commitment to enabling computer users to tap the
exploding potential of on-line communications with the easiest, most
advanced data communications software available has made Hilgraeve a
well-recognized company.
Prior to founding
Hilgraeve, Gray worked as a staff manufacturing engineer at the
world-headquarters of Monroe Auto Equipment. Gray was awarded a US patent
in microcomputer-based coin validation technology in 1985 and for
HyperGuard anti-virus technology in 1994. He holds a bachelor's degree in
mechanical engineering (BSME) from Northwestern University.
