John Hile, Founder
Until recently, John Hile was
responsible for Hilgraeve's product design and development. His current
roles include sitting on the board of directors and serving as a technical
consultant to Hilgraeve. His
keen design sense and thirst for knowledge make him an invaluable asset as
Hilgraeve tackles the hard problems of connecting uncooperative systems.
Hile was awarded a US patent in
early 1996 for his work on Hilgraeve's breakthrough HyperACCESS product
line and is co-inventor of three US patents awarded in 1994, 1996 and
1999.
Prior to Hilgraeve, Hile worked as
a programmer/analyst for the Monroe Evening News, where he wrote a
communications program enabling reporters to file news stories via modem
from political conventions. Hilgraeve later acquired rights to this
program, the seed from which Hilgraeve's commercial communications
software grew. Hile graduated with a bachelor of science degree from the
University of Michigan in 1973.
